Charlene made this cute purse card that matches Diane's card.  The inside detail of the card as well as it's design really makes the card pop.  Very nice card Charlene.

Diane's card for the Card Swap

Diane made this cool card of a framed Victorian shoe.  The colours she chose were warm and cozy.  Notice the detail in her colouring.  Great job Diane.

Cheryl made this really cute snowman card.  He came in his own little red bag.  This was my little one's favourite. She keeps it in her little purse.  This was a really cute card Cheryl.

Sailing in four days

Ahoy There Everyone
Can you believe we are sailing in four days!  How exciting!
On behalf of Jessie, Donna and myself, we would like to thank everyone who is joining us on our group.  This cruise will be so much fun.  We would also like to thank all the companies who donated prizes and items for the goody bags.  We could not have done this cruise without you.

Also, I would like to take this time, to thank Jessie and Donna for all their hard work.  Jessie is our networking expert and creative genius.  Donna is our fabulous travel agent with years of experience booking travel arrangements for our Sailing with Scissors group as well as other quilting groups.  For my part, I'm the administration person of our trio which has been so much fun for me.  I love doing the newsletters and the blog and whatever else is thrown my way.  Between the three of us, over shrimp cocktail and rice crackers, we can get things done.  I am honoured to work with two very wonderful, dedicated and creative women.

Free Mini Tag Photo Album, After Cruise Get Together at I'm Impressed

Shiver Me Timbers - More Fun after the cruise!
I know we are two weeks away from our departure date so writing about the end of the cruise is a head scratcher.  However, we have fabulous news.
Raya at I'm Impressed Paper Arts on Granville Island has invited us to a free Make N' Take after our cruise has ended.  Anytime on Sunday August 24 or Monday August 25, we will be make a free mini tag photo album.  This will be great for our cruise pics.  The store is open 10 am to 6 pm both days.
How great is this!
I'm Impressed Paper Arts is located in the Kids Market at Granville Island.  You can't miss it.

Lanyards

Ahoy There Stampers!
The lanyards are done for our group.  They were made using Basic Grey paper and look great.  In the pic, you will see on the back of a few of the tags odd names such as "Scarlett Scotties, Lemon Angel Fish...etc".  The reason for these little mini tags on the big tags will be revealed on August 17th....a mystery for now:

No, we haven't changed our name.  We are so happy to announce that Paper Pirates in Ketchikan will be hosting a Make N' Take for us and giving us a discount.

Bags of Paper?

What on earth are these bags of paper?
These are the daily newsletters filled with tips, tricks and teeny prezzies.  They are chalk full of fun stamping techniques.  We will drop them off at your door every evening.  Be warned!  Donna will knock on your door, while Jessie distracts you, and I snap your picture!  My favourite newsletter picture is one from the first Alaskan cruise in which two sister stampers are wearing matching flannel pajamas their mother gave them for Christmas.  And Oh Yes!  That picture is posted here somewhere on this blog.  Mwaaa!!!

*You may want to bring a staple remover to remove the prezzie from the newsletter...just a thought.

This is one of the little extras that set us apart from the crop (no pun intended) of the scrapbook/cardmaking cruises that are springing up everywhere.

Only a month and a half away until sailing.
