Donna's back from checking out Rhapsody of the Seas

Donna's back from her Hawaiian cruise on the ship we will be sailing on for our Sailing With Scissors cruise. She said the ship is really nice. There are lots of fun things to do on the ship. I can't imagine anything more fun than cardmaking.

Now that she is back, definitely give her a call to book your cruise and transportation.

Question

I received a really good question from one of our guests. K askes "Will the conference room be available outside of class times for our own general cardmaking?". We will not be able to use the rooms outside of prescribed times. However, the ship will have lots of rooms and areas available for you to catch up on your own cardmaking. For instance, the ship has a library and a card room that have tables and chairs which are perfect spaces for cardmaking. Lounges and eateries, outside of scheduled events are also great places for cardmaking. Donna's previous quilting cruise event found the quilter with the biggest cabin and a few quilters hauled their sewing machines into the cabin and sewed there.
Watch out G and M...so far you two have the biggest cabin on our cardmaking cruise. You may have a bunch of cardmakers showing up at your cabin to make cards.

Vintage Card Class

You will love my Vintage Card Class. This is right up my alley, as those of you know from visiting the store. I relish the times of old when life was gentile, classy and welcoming. You will get the same feel from the cards that will be made in this class. Here is me with some samples.

Great Prices Ending Soon!

Donna just gave me a call and broke the bad news. We are able to keep our awesome prices for a limited time - then the pricing increases. If you know anyone, who is hemming or hawing about the cruise, tell them to book ASAP. Call Donna at 604-464-7447 before the pricing increases.

My Cherished Chicks and Chuck at team meeting

Here are my Cherished Chicks and Chuck (my husband Andrew) who work hard in the store. I could not have done it without them. Baby Chick (our daughter Ella) was doing her best Greta Garbo "I want to be alone" impression - no pic for her. You can see the back of her little head, in daddy's arms.
-We discussed the cruise so all the Chicks and Chuck are well informed. They can answer your questions, or know where to find the answers.
If you would like to put a name to voice of the person you give your credit card information to, here they are:
Striped Shirt - Lori, Black shirt - Annie, Black shirt (on left) - Laura, White Sleeves - Chriss, Light Green Sweater - me, Jessie. Above Jessie, standing - Doreen, the guy - Andrew, back of toddler's head - Ella.
These are my Cherished the Thought Team! Yay!!!

Don't forget to also register for the Wood Mount Game, which is free...all you need to bring is an unwanted new, or slightly used wood mount stamp which is at least 3 inches by 2 inches.

Also, we are doing a free card swap as well. Make sure you register so everyone knows how many cards they want to make to accommodate everyone.

See my post from August 30th for more details about the wood mount game, and the card swap.
